NEW YORK – Designer Liora Manne, inventor of Lamontage textiles and founder of her eponymous New York City studio, was feted with the Best in Textiles award by Female Design Council + ICFF at the international design fair’s 2024 show.

The Superbloom installation created of Lamontage wallcovering especially for The Crossroads space at ICFF 2024 caught the eye of Female Design Council founder Lora Applewood and a team of judges from the organization, which is considered the premier professional network for women in architecture, design and the applied arts.

Spotlighting designers via awards and grants is part of the FDC’s mission, and this year the Female Design Council honored the Best in Lighting Design, the Best in Furniture Design, and the Best in Textile Design. Each winner received a trophy designed by Erica Sellers of Studio SII and an annual FDC professional membership (value $500).

In addition to Manné, Monling Lee of Jumbo won Best in Furniture and Danielle Trofe of Mush Lume Lighting won Best in Lighting Design.

The Crossroads, a collaboration between the ICFF brand directors, Rockwell Group and founder David Rockwell, and independent curator and editor Pei-Ru Keh, was a meeting hub for show attendees and for panel discussions by leading designers and architects.
