Crescendo Collection Debut
Combining the best in fiber innovation, the Crescendo Collection is the next step in Karastan's fiber revolution. This collection of stylish rugs employs four fiber types -- SmartStrand Silk, EverStrand, polyester and viscose -- to create a stunning array of modern designs that are well suited to pair with today's home fashion trends. Crescendo's contemporary color palette and the textural and carved effects of the rugs create visually exceptional partners in living beautifully. The fibers chosen for this new collection are all proven to be provide durability, built-in stain protection and incredible softness.
Scott Living Debuts New Styles Including Shag
In 2019, Karastan is introducing 20 new styles in its Scott Living collections: Artisan and Expressions (10 new styles per collection) as well as a new shag collection. Designed with Karastan's exclusive EverStrand recycled polyester yarn, the Expressions Collection is casual, modern and sumptuously soft. The Artisan Collection is luxurious in feel and creative in look; Artisan rugs are crafted of Karastan's exclusive SmartStrand Silk yarn for incredible comfort and built-in stain and soil resistance that will never wear or wash off.
More Patina Vie Patterns in Meraki
Karastan's Meraki Collection is gaining six to eight new Patina Vie patterns, which will be on display in High Point.
Meraki is a Greek word meaning "to do something with passion or soul." The vibrant and trendy designs of this Karastan collection invigorate any space with bright color and energy. Consciously crafted of Karastan's exclusive, eco-friendly EverStrand fiber, the collection brings a taste of traditional patterns revamped with rich color combinations and distressed details. Its globally inspired bohemian designs feature a wide range of colors including: cream, dove, fuchsia, saffron, tangerine, lime, teal, sapphire, aqua and wine.
Mosaic Collection Debut
Karastan's new Mosaic collection is woven of a combination of fibers -- SmartStrand and EverStrand -- that are not only some of Karastan's best-selling fibers but also offer consumers a sustainable choice in beautiful rugs. Karastan designers have included hints of a reflex yarn in Mosaic rugs to allow for carved details and a high/low pile. Featuring 56 shades of color, Mosaic is a decorator's dream. Both durable and soft SmartStrand, which is made partially of renewable resources, and EverStrand, produced from recycled plastic bottles, are excellent choices for families seeking environmentally friendly options.
Innovations in Customer Support
This year Karastan has dedicated itself to developing innovative tools and creating helpful and inviting spaces to support customers. It moved its Atlanta showroom to the Mohawk Home office in Sugar Valley, Georgia, approximately an hour north of AmericasMart in Atlanta, and expanded its Las Vegas showroom. In High Point, the Karastan showroom will have more display space and feature a digital kiosk, which was well received at the Las Vegas Market in January. The kiosk features the full Karastan rug catalog with the ability to visualize each rug in a room setting. The Karastan High Point showroom is located at H309-IFC, Hamilton, Floor 3.
