DALLAS -- Dallas Market Center, in partnership with the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico, welcomes back the International Folk Art Market Collection during Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, June 21-27. The International Folk Art Market Collection will present more than twenty artisans from all over the world showcasing their wares and sharing their stories through their art. The exhibit, taking place June 21-24, will be held in the World Trade Center Atrium where buyers may purchase handmade jewelry, gifts, and home décor and get to know the artisans representing Ghana, Uzbekistan, India, Mexico, and other countries.

The artisans are part of the International Folk Art Market (IFAM), the largest event of its kind in the world, taking place each summer in Santa Fe. Prior to the event in Santa Fe, a select number of artisans exhibit at Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.

The IFAM Collection at Dallas Market Center honor and economically sustain the artisans, who are often able to secure year-round income based on their U.S. sales, creating a lasting economic impact on their communities. The show also gives buyers the chance to learn more about the intricacies of the artisans’ work, and to set themselves apart from the competition with specially curated product.

On June 20, actress and fashion icon Ali MacGraw will be at Dallas Market Center to serve as honorary co-chair alongside Linda Marcus for the IFAM Collection preview party. The evening will feature live music and global cuisine from Break Bread, Break Borders, a nonprofit that empowers refugee women to make a living by implementing their cooking skills. “For me, each object becomes the starting point for a journey,” MacGraw says. “When you touch a piece of extraordinary handmade art, you can’t help but be touched by the artists themselves and the stories behind their work.”

“The top request from our retail customers is for unique product so we are excited to welcome these amazing artists to Dallas," said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. "We invite buyers to visit the artists, hear their stories, appreciate their craft, and understand the direct impact of their purchases, which are available immediately."

Following the Dallas Market Center event, the flagship International Folk Art Market will be held July 6-9, 2023 on Museum Hill in Santa Fe, New Mexico. More information is available at www.folkartmarket.org.
