IMC Announces Fall Design Week Educational Programming

Fall Design Week featuring Gift & Home is at AmericasMart Sept. 20-22, 2021 and will offer programming showcasing the direction the industry is moving toward.

ATLANTA – Fall Design Week featuring Gift & Home is offering three days of curated, educational programming on design, the world of retail and seasonal trends from Sept. 20-22 at IMC’s AmericasMart Atlanta campus.

“Along with opportunities for order writing and exploring the latest in design trends, Fall Design Week programming enables design aficionados to learn about the direction the industry is moving toward,” said Dorothy Belshaw, IMC chief marketing and digital officer. “We are so excited to welcome the design industry back to AmericasMart this September for sourcing, education and reconnection.”

Fall Design Week educational programs will take place daily as “Lunch and Learn” seminars throughout the course of the three-day design event.

On Monday, Sept. 20 at 12 p.m., Rachel Moeller of Sherwin-Williams will present Sherwin-Williams Colormix Forecast. This exploration of unique color palettes that draw from emerging global trends is worth 1.0 CEU credits.

On Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m., DeAnna McIntosh of Retailing Evolved will present Future-Proofing Your Retail Business. The session will address how to future-proofing businesses so they can evolve as quickly as retail does.

On Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 12 p.m., Canaan Marshall a contestant on HBO Max’s second season of Full Bloom will present A Floral Designers Secret to Decorating the Perfect Christmas Tree. The session will address how to coordinate a mixture of baubles, ornaments and lights on a Christmas tree making it look professionally styled.

Additionally, participants in Fall Design Week will have access to complimentary parking in the American Cancer Society lot throughout the duration of the design event.

Fall Design Week featuring Gift & Home runs Sept. 20-22 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., at AmericasMart Atlanta. The three-day buying, educational and networking event for designers and retailers allows those in the design industry to visit AmericasMart and learn more about design while shopping the biggest upcoming trends. Merchandise is showcased in AmericasMart’s 400+ Open Year Round showrooms displaying nearly 2,000 lines in home décor, lifestyle, gift and apparel.
