CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. -- IKEA U.S. will be donating more than $1.6 million worth of products and supplies to support COVID-19 relief efforts across the US.

Over the past weeks, IKEA has reached out to partners at Feeding America, the American Red Cross, and local government agencies to identify the most critical needs and how IKEA can contribute in a meaningful way. Based on what the company has heard, its stores and distribution centers are donating items such as food, blankets, bedding, and storage solutions for blood drives, temporary hospitals, and shelters. In response to the need for personal protective equipment (PPE), we have retrieved more than 30,000 N-95 masks from our operations that will be donated to local medical organizations and healthcare workers.

"As a global brand that cares deeply about people, we recognize the role we can play in helping our local communities during the COVID-19 crisis," said Javier Quiñones IKEA U.S. president. "To read more about this donation, please visit IKEA.com. We encourage organizations in need of IKEA products and supplies to reach out through their local IKEA store's information page, where they can submit a donation request form.

"I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the organizations, volunteers, and healthcare professionals serving our communities with courage during these challenging times," Quiñones said. "I also want to share a big thank you to our co-workers who are so committed and eager to support our communities. Together, we hope to make life a little better."
