In 2027, ICFF will move its annual exhibition at the Javits Center in NYC to November 7-9.

NEW YORK -- ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair), North America’s premier platform for contemporary design, is moving to November, hoping to become an annual fixture in the fall design calendar, with its 2027 edition taking place November 7-9 at the Javits Center. Running concurrently with BDNY (Boutique Design New York), the new fall timing establishes a more impactful design moment in New York, bringing together high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial design in a single setting.

“After 37 years defining contemporary design in the U.S., we are making a move that reflects where the industry is going,” said ICFF Brand Directors Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat. “Exhibitors and partners told us clearly and consistently that the spring calendar had become too compressed. November gives our community the time and focus to do business the right way, and the alignment with BDNY makes November a moment the industry won’t want to miss.”
The trade show landscape has shifted meaningfully in recent years. Tighter budgets, more selective travel and increasing demands on both brands and buyers have raised the stakes for every trip to market. Moving ICFF to November, including the WANTED feature, addresses this directly, offering exhibitors and attendees a less congested, more productive window, with fewer competing demands and greater capacity for the kind of engagement that drives real business outcomes.

ICFF and BDNY will remain two distinct, independently curated trade fairs, each with its own identity, audience, and programming. Together at the Javits Center, the two fairs give the industry something it has long needed a new design destination in the fall.

The commercial logic is compelling. In 2025, ICFF welcomed more than 13,000 attendees and BDNY drew over 16,000, with only 10% overlap between their audiences. For exhibitors, that means access to a combined and largely distinct pool of decision-makers without a proportional increase in investment. With approximately 50% of ICFF’s exhibitors representing international brands, the November alignment also expands global visibility in ways the spring calendar could not support.

To sustain momentum ahead of its November 2027 edition, ICFF will maintain a year-round presence through a series of targeted activations:

•  ICFF Lounge at BDNY with networking and programming, November 8-9, 2026

•  Annual press preview, February 2027

•  ICFF Night Out part of NYCxDESIGN Festival, May 2027

•  ICFF, November 7-9, 2027

For a fair that has shaped North American design for nearly four decades, the move to November is not a departure, but a natural next step in leading the industry forward. Visit the website to learn more.
