NEW YORK -- The annual Holiday House NYC, founded in 2008 to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, opened Oct. 24 with rooms decorated by 22 interior design companies, including a shoppable space by One Kings Lane Interior Design.
Products in the One Kings Lane space, which includes a dining and living area opening to an outside patio, may be purchased on site or on the company' s website. Located in a townhouse at 118 E. 76 St. on NYC's Upper East Side, this year's house will be open to the public through Dec. 2.
Now in its eleventh year, Holiday House NYC was founded by designer Iris Dankner, a breast cancer survivor, and the event raises money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Ninety-one cents of every dollar spent on tickets to the show go to the research organization, and One Kings Lane is donating a portion of sales of items in the room to the charity.
One Kings Lane announced its participation in the Holiday House NYC in an Instagram post.
In an Instagram post, One Kings Lane president Debbie Probst wrote: "Years to get to this point ... a major honor that we designed a room at this year's @holidayhousedesigns show house. Dreams do come true... with a dream team of interior designers and stylists @onekingslane. Thank you @irisdankner for believing in us as interior designers and letting us stretch our imagination in this space and thank you to all the vendors and artists that let us beg, borrow and steal. Come visit and support the fight against breast cancer."
The One Kings Lane holiday space is a sophisticated mix of vintage and new furniture and accessories and features a palette of persimmon and blue.
