Fabricut's inaugural area rug collection showcases three style categories, including Natural. Shown, Dharma
TULSA, Okla. -- Decorative fabric maker Fabricut Inc. enters the area rug category with its new Fabricut Rug Collection, which includes three handcrafted ranges designed to coordinate with company's Fabricut Furniture and its wide range of textiles.
The new rug program is part of the company's effort to transform itself into a "whole home source to the trade." Most of the rugs are hand-loomed or hand-knotted of a blend of wool, viscose and cotton, with one performance design (Grifter) made of 100 percent solution-dyed polyester.
Debuting at June High Point Market in its Market Square Tower suite 403, the new area rugs are in-stock and categorized by style.
LUXE
Fabricut's new Luxe series offers refined, timeless textural styles. Shown, Gatsby
The Luxe assortment of rugs features refined, elegant looks, and rich textures with timeless patterns. The Gatsby design is hand-woven with a viscose pile for sheen and a wool base for durability. Murmur combines a silk-like pile and cotton loops for a multi-dimensional broken stripe effect. Murmur is hand-knotted of 50 percent Tencel, 40 percent viscose and 10 percent cotton. Octavian's classical geometric traditional tile design, hand-woven with lustrous viscose pile offers a silk look Octavian is handwoven by skilled artisans of 25 percent wool, 55 percent viscose and 20 percent cotton. And, Dew Drops offers irregular and organic styling with its raised lustrous droplets paired with a matte looped area visibly hand-knotted. This design is made of 60 percent wool, 30 percent viscose and 10 percent cotton.
NATURAL
The Baily flatweave area rug, part of the Natural style category offers a blend of mélange yarns in neutral coloways, with a buried Lurex yarn.
Fabricut Rug Collection's Natural style category offers dimensional texture and designs. Bailey is a soft flatweave with a rich blend of mélange yarns in neutral coloways. Bailey has a buried Lurex yarn woven throughout for an elegant metallic accent, and a selvedge hem at the top and bottom. It is made of 40 percent cotton, 40 percent wool, 24 percent viscose and 12 percent polyester. Inspired by vintage Persian carpet, Dharma is woven with a rich pile but in soft, tone on tone colors. The distressed patterning includes a border and the design is made of 60 percent wool, 20 percent viscose and 20 percent cotton. Whittle is a foundation rug hand-loomed to create an all-over texture with the a mix of sheen and matte and a fashionable heathered appearance. Whittle is made of 50 percent wool, 35 percent viscose and 15 percent cotton.
MODERN
The Modern style range includes Grifter, a performance area rug crafted of solution-dyed polyester.
The Modern series features distinctive and artistic designs including abstract, geometric and textural patterns. The hand-knotted abstract Abstruse design offers color combinations that effortlessly pull the colors of a room together. This rug is hand-sheared of 70 percent wool and 30 percent viscose for a multi-pile effect for added dimension. Vacillate, a low loop, high pile design of concentric lines, creates a bold geometric that spans the width of the rug. It is hand-loomed of 25 percent wool, 55 percent viscose and 20 percent cotton. Grifter, a performance rug made of solution-dyed polyester, features a contemporary broken lines design woven with the look of heathered wool. Grifter has a thick pile and is also fade resistant and cleanable. The hand-loomed Perry offers a thick, wool-rich pile with two tones for a contemporary heathered effect. The style is crafted of 70 percent wool, 15 percent t viscose and 15 percent cotton.
