NOURISON AND JOSEPH ABBOUD HOST GLITTERING LAUNCH PARTY

NEW YORK -- Nourison's sleek new 10,000 sq. ft.New York showroom was the scene of a glittering launch party for the company's new Joseph Abboud Rug Collection. Nourison and Joseph Abboud co-hosted the event Tuesday, Sept. 27 for retailers and home fashions editors from the consumer and business press corps.
The Joseph Abboud rugs will be rolled out to a broad range of home furnishings buyers during the High Point Fall Market, Oct. 22 to 27 at Nourison's new 5,000 sq. ft. permanent InterHall showroom at the IHFC building.
The first Nourison/Joseph Abboud rug collection consists of five groups of rugs, including power-loomed and handmade constructions. Suggested retail prices range from $499 to $1,119 in approximate 5x8 size.
"Joseph Abboud represents a timeless elegance, refinement, quality and classic style, which are also attributes that define the Nourison brand, " said Alex Peykar,a principal at Nourison. The partnership with Nourison is part of an aggressive strategy to expand the Joseph Abboud brand as a leader in lifestyle products across all categories of fashion and home products, according to the Joseph Abboud organization..
At the same time, this licensing agreement will expand Nourison’s portfolio of home products into the realm of contemporary, high fashion that is characteristic of the Joseph Abboud brand, the rug maker noted. Bernardo Rojo, JA creative director, will work closely with the Nourison development team on the designs.

Handmade in India of 40% leather on a chenille base of polyester and cotton. The mixed media creates rich multi-textural effect. Suggested retail price is $1,199 for 5’3" x 7’5".
Majestic

Nourison Joseph Abboud Majestic retails at $799 in 5'6"x7'5"
The classic Joseph Abboud paisley arrangement has been modernized in scale and color palette. Power-loomed in China of New Zealand wool. Retail price is $799 for 5’6" x 7’5".
Monterey

Nourison Joseph Abboud Monterey retails at $499 in 5'3"x7'4"
The combination of relief patterns on both bright and muted backgrounds creates an abstract contemporary design. Hand-tufted in India of 80% wool and 20% polyester fibers, the raised yarns create a unique texture. Retail price approximately $499 for 5’3" x 7’4".
Modelo

Modelo rugs are multi-dimensional and reflect the designer's mixed media approach. Cut and loop piles in varying heights are hand tufted in India of 50% polyester, 25% wool and 25% viscose. Suggested retail is approximately $899 in 5'3"x7'5"
Nourison is an international supplier of floor covering products. Nourison was founded in 1980 by the Peykar brothers and is now headquartered in Saddle Brook, NJ.
Joseph Abboud has diversified from a producer of men's suiting and sportswear to a wide array of product categories, including accessories, luggage, footwear, eyewear and home furnishings.
