ATLANTA -
Dynamic Rugs introduced a space dyed jute collection in a proprietary
construction at the Atlanta International Rug Market earlier this month,
and unveiled 12 new collections making it the largest launch in the company's
history. A record-breaking 500-plus designs are included in the new
offerings, which will be introduced to retailers attending Las Vegas
market next week at World Market Center showroom A-432.
The
Casual collection, a hand-tufted jute series with an all-over loop
texture, is the first of its kind in the industry said Matthew Rouhanian,
president, Dynamic Rugs. "It is proprietary for now," he quipped. "No
one else has it yet and the reaction has been great. It is surprising
people because they're used to seeing hand-knotted jute and this is hand
tufted; the colors are also very new."
According
to Katie Stewart, the company's director of product development, the
Casual series is unique in its combination of space dyed jute yarns to
create colorful patterns against crisp white backgrounds. "Natural
fiber rugs are a hot item in the market, and this as an innovative way
of using jute that is functional but sophisticated. The hooked texture
and tight, dense tufting make for a durable, resilient pile," Stewart
explained. The Casual collection is offered in four globally-inspired
transitional patterns and six colorways at $440 MSRP in 5x8.

Dynamic Rugs will present the Belgium-made Flair Collection at
next week's Las Vegas Market.

abstract designs and fashion colors. Debuting in four patterns and seven
colorways, the line features a modern color palette with an emphasis on
blues and greys. Machine made in Belgium, Flair has an MSRP of $400 in
5x8.
The new
hand-tufted Vogue collection, a blend of 90% viscose and 10% wool is
distinguished by a silken finish and soft luster and retails at an MSRP
of $18/square foot; and the luminous viscose Regal ($10/square foot,
made in Belgium), includes seven distressed vintage patterns in 16
colorways, with key tones such as blue, teal, grey and neutrals.
Another
new collection called Regal is machine-made of viscose in Belgium in
distressed designs with a handmade look. Regal will be shown in seven
patterns and fashion colorways including blue, teal, grey and neutrals,
and will retail at $400 MSRP. Also new is the reversible Topaz

palette at $320 MSRP.
