HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Among the hundreds of new area rug introductions at High Point, RugNews.com brings you a snapshot of this fall's best sellers.

These market hits featured innovative designs, textures, weaves and colorations in top trends that show shoppers were looking for. What's more, some of the hottest area rugs at market were from the latest crop of  license programs to debut in area rug showrooms, including Bokara, HRI, Loloi, Momeni, Nourison, Samad and Safavieh, and featured names such as Madcap Cottage, Lauren Ralph Lauren, Rifle Paper Co. and Wesley Mancini. And that doesn't include popular, existing licensed programs, such as ED Ellen DeGeneres and Calvin Klein, among others, who are also adding to their lines.

Below find RugNews.com's exhaustive report from the trenches, as we source the best-sellers from companies from Loloi to Unique Loom. And make sure you don't miss Part 1 that tours hits from Amer Rugs to Kas Rugs. (In addition, make sure to check out our roundup of area rug people and parties Part 1 and Part 2.)

The value-driven Antiquity scored for the quality, color and design it brings to the indoor-outdoor category, with polypropylene patterns woven to look like vintage Persian Rugs. "The response has been very, very good. The fact that it can be used outside is pretty unique for the look," said the company's Mike Thompson.

Aptly named to represent the diversity of its designs, the new Divergence collection features looks from contemporary to Persian Kazaks. Hand-tufted of wool, Divergence rugs retail $249 -$299 for a 5x7 depending on retailers' markup. In addition, LR Resources continues to promote its successful Naturals collection, which was expanded along with the popular Bleached Naturals range.
