Amer Rugs Scores with Power Loomed Intros at High Point Market

In addition to debuts in myriad handmade collections, the hand-knot specialist launches six sophisticated power loomed lineups.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Amer Rugs reinforced its commitment to the power-loomed category with the High Point Market introduction of six collections ranging in style from traditional Persian motifs to abstract art-inspired designs.

As the Spring 2024 show, the award-winning hand-knot specialist continued to expand its product offerings to include a broad array of weaves and constructions, with new hand-knotted, hand-loomed, hand-woven and hand-tufted introductions – in everything from designer-quality indoor-outdoor (Atlantic collection) to organic cable-knit sweater looks (Norwood collection).

But retailers and designers looking for quality and fashion in machine-made rugs gave a thumbs up to Amer’s growing power loomed lineup. Standout High Point introductions include the machine-washable Alaska collection in chenille and cotton from Turkey.

The company also got excellent response to its Monotone and Clifton collections machine made from polypropylene in Turkey. Another top seller, Kingston is also power loomed in Turkey, this time in a blend of polyester and polypropylene.


A market favorite in the Amer showroom was the high-low solid color Monotone collection. Shown, MON-8

Amer brings fresh and diverse looks to the machine-made category, all grounded in the company’s heritage as a weaver of hand-knotted rugs. One example is the Albany collection, power loomed in Turkey of polyester in lavishly detailed updated Persian designs in fashion colors.

Indeed, the company ticks all the boxes for fashion with warm color palettes this spring featuring rust, peach, ivory and warm beige, and textures reminiscent of handmade rugs. The new Jordan collection’s sophisticated designs incorporate the new colors in both traditional and modern abstract designs.
