Amer Hires Charles Carter as Sales Manager

Amer Rugs has named flooring veteran Charles Carter as sales manager. He is tasked with helping grow Amer retail presence.

Charles Carter joins Amer Rugs as sales manager.

NORCROSS, Ga. -- Amer Rugs names floor-covering veteran Charles Carter sales manager.

Carter, who has a long-running career in the floor covering industry, joined the company on Dec. 15, 2021, and was added to the Amer team to help the company reach its new growth objectives. Carter said, “I want to learn all I can, and help grow Amer Rugs to the next level.”

Carter started his career in the floor covering business on the retail side. He has more than 36 years of experience in sales and has spent nearly 26 years working as national sales manager, with 16 years in the floor coverings segment. Prior to Joining Amer Rugs, Carter served as general manager at Carpet One, where he worked for 12 years. He also was a general manager at Bruce Hardwood Flooring, a division of AHF Products, and served as national sales manager for 16 years at Caster Warehouse Inc. 

"With great team effort and working together, we can have continued growth and do our part in the $1.5 billion industry of area rugs," he added. He pointed to his success while national sales manager for Caster Warehouse, "My team of six salesales reps and I grew the company from $3 million to $16.8 million in 18 months.”
