AMER RELOCATES HQ, BULLISH ON 2019, OPENS YEAR WITH 11 NEW COLLECTIONS

Amer's hand-knotted Majestic collection was a high-end hit of 2018, along with the popular Mystique and Zenith.

NORCROSS, Ga. -- With steady sales growth in 2018 under its belt, Amer Rugs expects a strong 2019 and lays the foundation for continued gains with a new headquarters facility in Norcross, and plenty of product innovation.

The new headquarters features 43,300 square feet, which includes a new warehouse facility to accommodate the company's expanding product assortment. In addition, Amer just announced an updated logo designed to represent the company's new direction

"January 2019 is going to be much stronger for us for many reasons," said Raj Choudhary, president. "We have refreshed our look, which is a reflection of our vibrant regeneration at Amer, and we have added new product lines to cater to all price-point categories from high-end knotted to machine-made products." Choudhary pointed out that the company's just-announced new logo mark is designed to reflect its updated spirit.

"We have observed a steady growth since last year [2017] and our sales have also increased in comparison," he explained. The company's hand-knot category remains its strongest revenue generator with best-sellers including the Majestic, Mystique and Zenith collections. "We have received excellent response to our hand-loom products like the Paradise and Heaven collections. And, in machine-made, the top selling lines were Hamilton and Venice."

The machine-made Venice collection proved a top seller for 2018.

Following a positive High Point in October, Amer expects to end the fourth quarter ahead of the same period one year earlier. "We are expecting to end 2018 with a strong quarter," Choudhary said. "This can be attributed in a huge part to our product diversity. We are able to offer a variety of products in terms of price point. Whether you are looking for low-price machine-made or high-priced unique hand-knotted rug, you come to Amer."

Amer's 2018 was filled with changes including revamping its management structure and executive team (read full story). In the summer, the company relocated to a larger Atlanta showroom introducing scores of new collections at the same time (read full story).
