MARIETTA, GA – Tai Ping Carpet has entered into a partnership agreement with Wools of New Zealand for use of the Laneve fiber integrity brand.

Tai Ping primarily uses New Zealand wool in the making of its custom floor coverings and plans to use Laneve brand fiber in select Tai Ping and Edward Fields collections. Edward Fields, a luxury company noted for its handmade expertise, was purchase by Tai Ping in 2005.

Wool Partners International, the parent company of Wools of New Zealand, recently launched Laneve as a specialty fiber brand within the Wools of New Zealand Brand  umbrella. Qualifying products  meets specific standards for on-farm practices, animal welfare, sustainability, traceability and the environment.

As a Laneve partner, Tai Ping will utilize this accredited wool in select carpets and rugs sold throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

“New Zealand wool has long been our fiber of choice. Not only does it support our sustainable commitment, it provides the clarity of color, strength and luxurious luster our high-end clientele demands,” said Eric Cooper, Tai Ping’s vice president of global technical operations and sustainability.

“Our partnership with Tai Ping builds on the presence already established by Wools of New Zealand internationally and on Laneve in the United States, where we have so far announced 18 Laneve brand partnerships,” said Elise Demboski,  executive director for North America for Wools of New Zealand.

“The Laneve program is helping to build a broader base of committed purchasers of New Zealand wool. Along with the relationships already in existence for the Wools of New Zealand brand and a range of contracts for other forms of commercial supply, this will increase the overall demand for New Zealand wool,” continued Demboski.

Tai Ping is a vertically integrated company, with carding, spinning, dyeing, Axminster, hand-tufting, pass-tufting, machine-tufting, Wilton, automotive and carpet tile capabilities.
