DALTON,GA– Oriental Weavers has introduced a new shag rug in Radiant Orchid, Pantone's 2014 color of the year. The rug, part of the Focus collection is available for immediate shipment.
Pantone announced its 2014 Color of theYear, 18-3224, on Dec. 5.
Earlier this year, Oriental Weavers and Pantone Universe, the consumer products brand of parent company Pantone, formed an exclusive partnership for the design and manufacturing of fashion-forward area rugs.
"Because of that relationship, Oriental Weavers received the top secret 2014 Pantone Color of the Year months in advance of the public announcement in order to incorporate the sought-after color into the company’s new designs, launching at the January markets, " according to Oriental Weaver.
Oriental Weavers has added the new color to its Focus shag collection and it is now in stock and ready to ship immediately, the company said.
“We are extremely proud to already have the new Radiant Orchid shag rugs produced and ready to ship,†said Jonathan Witt, vice-president of Oriental Weavers.
“Our number one goal is always to produce fashionable, on-trend area rugs that help our retailers attract consumers to their rug departments and most importantly, sell more products. Having the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year shag rugs produced and ready to ship on the same day the formal announcement was made, we have delivered on that promise again. We are so excited for our retail partners to be the first among their peers in selling rugs featuring this now-famous color," said.
Witt added that the company will also introduce several new collections containing the Radiant Orchid color at the January markets.
