PRESTIGE MILLS NAMED NORTH AMERICAN
DISTRIBUTOR FOR LOUIS DE POORTERE

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY -- Belgian carpet and rug maker Louis de Poortere has named Prestige Mills, Inc. as exclusive distributor in the United States and Canada for all LDP products.

Previously, Louis De Poortere has marketed its carpet and rugs direct to specialty stores, catalogue companies, and interior design showrooms in North America.

 LDP has now elected concentrate on expanding its weaving facilities and service in Belgium, turning over its marketing and sales distribution to Prestige Mills.

Louis de Poortere's products, including both tufted and woven carpet and rugs,  have been sold widely  in the U.S. and Canada for decades. The product range includes wool face to face wilton runners, as well as  wool tufted and wilton broadloom styles.

Prestige Mills, Inc. based in Long Island City, NY, is a manufacturer and importer of carpet and rugs. The company has warehouse facilities in Calhoun, GA. The company operates three divisions, Concepts International, Prestige Mills, and Weave-Tuft Carpet, and Louis de Poortere will be added as a new division. Prestige also has exclusive distribution rights to the Missoni and Larsen Carpet labels.
