COURISTAN EXPANDS DALTON
DISTRIBUTION CENTER

DALTON, GA --  Couristan is expanding its distribution center here  to accommodate the company's significant increases in sales. 

 Construction on the 238,000 sq. ft. building is scheduled to be complete by mid-October. This represents an 80,000 sq. ft. increase in inventory space.

The expansion will enhance customer service and support, and accelerate order fulfillment, according to Couristan. Along with the warehouse expansion, Couristan is also supporting business growth with several technology upgrades, including the addition of the latest IBM iSeries mainframe, which will handle Couristan's increase in volume more efficiently.

The company is also in the process of upgrading its managerial software to include the integration of radio frequency scanners that will ensure the optimization of customer order fulfillment and allow dealers to check the status of orders in-real-time, the company said.

New Couristan warehouse in Dalton is nearing completion.
