LOUIS DE POORTERE VETERAN SALES MANAGER EDDIE HOLLIER SCALES BACK, FORMS REP AGENCY

 

ATLANTA - Louis De Poortere has announced that its veteran U.S. sales manager, Eddie Hollier is transitioning to a new position as independent sales representative in Georgia, Tennessee, the Panhandle of Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. In making the announcement, Thierry Flamant, VP Sales Americas for De Poortere Group, said that Hollier has chosen to scale back and revive his former rep agency and will add other non-competing lines in the area.

"After twelve years of intense domestic and overseas travels. I have decided to rest my national and international wings in order to spend more quality time with my family in Atlanta," said Hollier, who is a well-known and longtime industry figure.

 

Christof Vermeersch, CEO of Louis De Poortere said, "I respect and understand Eddie's decision. It is a courageous choice. I have enjoyed working with him and am grateful for his dedicated efforts on behalf of Louis De Poortere since 1995. I wish him a lot of success in this new chapter of his life."

"Eddie and I go back over 20 years.  Stuart Hayes introduced us at the time of Eddie's leadership at the Wool Bureau. Eddie has a passion for wool and carpets. He knows them better than most. Eddie will succeed in this new venture because he is one of the most positive people industry the industry and dealers love him. Nationally or regionally, he has our full support. We are just glad that Eddie remains in the Louis De Poortere nucleus. It is my hope that all agents and mill friends recognize Eddie's value and efforts and offer him more good lines to represent in Georgia and Tennessee," Flamant said.
