TO OPEN 40 NEW STORES BY 2008

ST. LOUIS, MO - Rug Decor plans to open 40 new stores in the U.S. by 2008, according to Scott Hayim, president of the rug specialty chain.

A total of 13 new locations will make their debut in 2007, including recently opened stores in suburban Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix and Las Vegas. Other stores are scheduled for Washington, Alabama and Florida.

There are currently 37 Rug Decor stores operating in North America.

"It is a shopping environment that is visually exciting, easy to navigate, comfortable and one that gives customers confidence.€VbCrLf

Rug Decor stores measure 3,000 to 4,000 sq. ft. The stores offer both private label merchandise and branded rugs from such major vendors as Karastan, Nourison, Oriental Weavers Sphinx, Shaw, Momeni, Loloi, Safavieh, Kaleen, Kalaty, Delos, Dalyn and Concord Global.

Rug Decor offers consumers several buying options including in-store immediate delivery, print catalogs and online.

Rug Decor is a franchising arm of CCA Global Partners. The franchise fee is $30,000 and total startup costs are approximately $319,440, according to Mark Jameson, vice president of franchise development.

CCA Global Partners acquired Rug Decor in 2000 and  began franchising in June of 2004. Originally located in outlet malls, Rug Decor stores are now located primarily in Lifestyle  centers and free-standing locations.
