NOURISON SIGNS LICENSING
AGREEMENT WITH JOSEPH ABBOUD

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — Nourison has signed an exclusive brand licensing agreement with Joseph Abboud, a division of JA Apparel Corp, New York, according to Alex Peykar, a principal of Nourison.The first collection will be launched at the High Point Home Furnishings Market  Oct. 22 to 27, 2011.

The program will include powerloom woven and handmade rugs in a full range of sizes and styles. The rugs will be reflective of the Joseph Abboud brand and be made at Nourison’s manufacturing facilities in Asia, according to Peykar.

“Joseph Abboud represents a timeless elegance, refinement, quality and classic style, which are also attributes that define the Nourison brand, ” said Peykar.

 â€œI am confident that the brand recognition and appeal, coupled with our expertise in rug technology, manufacturing and distribution will lead to a successful program that will be beneficial to both companies,” he added.

He noted that the licensing agreement will expand Nourison’s portfolio of products into the realm of contemporary, high fashion that is characteristic of the Joseph Abboud brand.  Bernardo Rojo, JA creative director, will work closely with the Nourison development team on the design aesthetic and point of view of the rug collection.

The partnership with Nourison is a part of an aggressive strategy to expand the Joseph Abboud brand as a leader in designer, premier lifestyle products across all categories of fashion and home products.
