TROY, NC - Capel Rugs has promoted Jake Sweeters to National Sales Manager.  In his new position, Sweeters will be responsible for the management of Capel's national sales force, working with the regional sales managers to drive sales in their territories. He will be based in Norwalk, CT.

Sweeters, who joined Capel Rugs in 2003, had been serving as Regional Manager-Northeast for the company, managing sales and sales training for accounts across New England, New York and New Jersey. Prior to joining Capel, he was with Mastercraft Rugs, servicing accounts in North Carolina. He is a fourth-generation member of the rug industry.

In addition to Sweeters' appointment, Capel Rugs has promoted Sylvia Williamson to Sales Coordinator. Williamson joined Capel in 2000, most recently serving as Sales Administrator. In her new position, she will report to Sweeters. She is based at Capel Rugs' headquarters in Troy, NC.

With this appointment, Sweeters joins Cameron Capel and Mary Clara Capel in reporting to Magee as a Senior member of the sales management team. Cameron Capel continues to serve as Vice President-National Accounts, and is the primary spokesperson for Capel, as well as the lead on trade advertising and social media. Mary Clara Capel continues to serve as Sales Manager for Canada and Director of Administration, and also is the designated lead for special projects.
