STANTON AND BALTA IN ALLIANCE
FOR U.S. BROADLOOM SALES

SYOSSET, NY -- Stanton Carpet Corp. and Balta have entered an agreement whereby Stanton  will be  responsible for the sale and distribution of Balta's Noblesse wool carpet program in the United States. The announcement was made jointly by Jonathan Cohen, executive vice president of Stanton Carpet Corp. and Jan Vergote, general manager of Balta broadloom.

Effective July 18th, 2005 Stanton will take over distribution of Balta's Noblesse program of tufted wool carpets in the United States through its national sales force.

Joris Maes, vice president of sales and marketing for Balta's International broadloom sales will oversee the program on behalf of Balta and report directly to Jan Vergote.

Stanton and Balta will work together to produce products combining Stanton's styling with Balta's expertise in manufacturing, service and design. The agreement  does not affect Balta broadloom's other product categories such as woven and polypropylene nor Balta's other divisions such as laminate, rugs and other products.

Balta Nobless products  will be marketed under Stanton's Royal Dutch brand and will be part of the Royal Dutch product offering and display. Stanton will initially carry approximately 60 skus from Balta's Noblesse program and expand the line with future developments.

All products will be showcased at the Carpet One Show in Toronto July 29 and 30.

The Balta Group, based in Belgium,  manufactures rugs, broadloom carpet, laminate flooring and wall coverings.
