RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA. -- Westervelt Studio has developed a sales and design training tool called Color Mem Cards, a deck of 32 pocket sized ( 4€VbCrLf x 5€VbCrLf) color and design information cards.
Each card contains brief descriptions of the color as well as suggested pairings for colors and wood finishes currently available in interior design.
"Color Mem cards have been developed primarily as teaching aids for salesman in color driven industries like home furnishings,€VbCrLf according to Dan Westervelt, president of Westervekt Studio. "These cards yield a working knowledge of color with a minimum of time and effort,€VbCrLf said Westervelt.
"The name 'Color Mem' is short for Color Memorization, explained Westervelt. "They were created in response to the many requests from the audiences at my Color Selling presentations. The sales people wanted something that was portable and that would improve their color knowledge."
Westervelt pointed out that color is a deciding factor in the majority of home accessories sales. "The more confident a salesman is talking about color, the better his closing ratio," he said.
"Color has always been a driving force for manufacturers in home goods categories, but now with HGTV and other shows raising public awareness, it is more important than ever for the salesman to be fluent in color," Westervelt added.
Price for the pack of Color Mem Cards is $100.
