04112013 Capel to Debut Cococozy Line with Designer Coco during High Point Market

TROY, NC "€œ Capel Rugs has teamed up with blogger and textile designer Coco, founder of the design blog Cococozy,  to create a line of hand knotted rugs which will be introduced at the High Point Market, April 20 to 25, 2013. Coco will be on hand in the company's showroom at Market Square 112 Monday, April 22 at 4 p.m.  Cocktails will be served. 

"I have always wanted to design rugs because they are such an important part of decorating," said Coco. "This rug collection is filled with a selection of designs that are modern, stylish and accessible." 

Made of wool and hand knotted in an Indo Tibetan weave, the rugs have a suggested retail price of $1,798 in 5x8 size. The line showcases Coco's signature patterns and textures in a variety of colors, including pink, navy and peacock blue. Each of the five collections - 24 rugs in all - can be freely mixed and matched, with themes ranging from the bold to the demure. 

"Capel's designer partnerships continue to set new standards, and we worked closely with Coco to create a line that brings the allure of her fresh style to our customers in a remarkable hand-knotted product that has a soft, plush feel," said Allen Robertson, vice president of sales. "With five collections and 24 rugs to choose from, our customers can experience a unique taste of California-cool, simply by shopping at Capel." 

Based in Los Angeles, Coco launched the Cococozy blog in 2008 to help provide interior design and lifestyle inspiration for family, friends and the public.  

In 2011, Coco created a luxury line of textiles under the Cococozy brand. The collection features pillows, throws, bedding and drapery, all made in the U.S. and designed by Coco. Recently, the line was expanded to include an assortment of accessories such as soy candles and tabletop items. 

In January 2013, Cococozy was awarded the Best New Product Award at the New York International Gift Fair.
