COON RAPIDS, MN -- The Depot in Minneapolis, MN, was the scene for the Wonderland-themed 2020 HOM Furniture Awards Banquet, which honors key partners based on growth and service.
The night's premier awards -- 2019 Vendor of the Year and 2019 Representative of the Year -- were presented by Kyle Johansen, Executive Director of Merchandising for HOM Furniture.

Johansen presented the 2019 Vendor of the Year Award to J Furniture, a stationary fabric upholstery provider from the town of Okolona, located in Northern Mississippi. Entering the HOM family in 2014 and sold under the private label Furniture Creations Direct, J Furniture has shown incredible growth. Today, they are recognized as one of HOM Furniture's core furniture assortments.
"Our award recipient, J Furniture, produces, in my opinion, our best value-oriented upholstery we offer," Kyle Johansen said of the winner. "They are always up for the challenge with a can-do attitude and the drive to create the best sofa at the best price for HOM. Remaining on stage, Johansen announced the winner for the prestigious 2019 Representative of the Year Award, recognizing the individual who's shown outstanding service: the retailer's representative from Best Chair Co., Rosemary Husbands. With over 20 years of experience and a proven history of overall service, detailed training, meticulous follow-up, and professionalism, Rosemary has shown a long-time commitment to the success of HOM Furniture.
"It's wonderful to be honoring someone who has been working with both HOM and Gabbert's accounts this year and so many years." Johansen remarked, "I have [always] appreciated working with Rosemary. She loves to joke around and make the meetings enjoyable for everyone but can get laser-focused at the task at hand, which is making business happen, and I tell you what -- she knows how to do that."
The evening continued with Nu-disco music from the acclaimed Boogie Wonder Band where over 700 HOM Furniture employees from around the Midwest enjoyed an evening of awards, dinner and dancing.
