SAFAVIEH TO INTRODUCE
CROSS-CATEGORY COLLECTIONS AT
NEW YORK HOME FASHIONS MARKET 

 PORT WASHINGTON, NY -- Safavieh will unveil multi-product cross-category introductions at the New York Home Fashions Market, March 18-21, 2013.

 â€œThis March will be among the most prolific Home Fashions Market product launches for Safavieh in terms of design offerings, price ranges and new constructions and weaves,” said Arash Yaraghi, a company principal.

Safavieh will launch new indoor outdoor rug collections, a series of new accent pillows, bath rugs, and many new designs in hand-tufted, hand-knotted and flat-weave collections.

"We were encouraged by response to our introductions at the January markets in Atlanta and Las Vegas, and plan to roll out new products incorporating technological innovations with fashion-forward design throughout 2013," Yaraghi said.

For example, new designs in Safavieh's indoor-outdoor Veranda collection will feature a new weave that creates a needlepoint effect. The rugs are machine made in Turkey of polypropylene and retail at $149 in 5x8.

“We are expanding our cotton bath rug collection with new looks that bring a custom designer look to the mid-tier market,” Yaraghi said.  The two new luxury-look bath rug collections are made in China.

Safavieh has also expanded its decorative pillow collections for the March New York Home Fashions Market with four new collections as well as additions to existing running line collections.

One innovative pillow collection is the Cali Shag, which features a texture inspired by shag rugs. The polyester cover is embellished with individual multi-strand tassels to create sensuous texture and color with shades from champagne and platinum to lilac and electric blue. The rugs will retail for $92 for set of two in 18-inch size.

Safavieh will exhibit at its Manhattan showroom, 153 Madison Ave. at 32^nd St. during the upcoming market.
