BREAKING NEWS:

High Point Market.

NEW YORK - As the doors close on the 2015 NY Now fair, two young contemporary
brands, DwellStudio and Jonathan Adler Enterprises, are gearing up for
an expanded range of rugs, company representatives noted at the major
home goods expo held in New York City, from Jan. 31 to Feb. 4.
DwellStudio has a plan in the works to dramatically increase its
collaboration with Surya, which introduced DwellStudio rugs at the Fall
2014 High Point Market, and Jonathan Adler is expanding its
collaboration with home decorating giant Kravet beyond fabrics and trims
to include a series of rugs, according to representatives from both
graphic-minded labels exhibiting NY Now.

The DwellStudio space at NY Now 2015 last week drew attention to
the brand's signature clean, modern look in bed fashions and
accessories.

DwellStudio's
Pamisa Sahay reported that the company has a "very large launch"Â slated
for the April High Point Market, noting that customers can expect to see
iconic DwellStudio patterns and designs underfoot, some of which will
cull Indian motifs for inspiration.
Known for
its modern aesthetic, DwellStudio launched a transitional first series
of rugs and a more neutral palette in collaboration with Surya last fall
in four collections: the hand-knotted Ludlow & Thompson range of updated
traditional designs; the hand-tufted wool Madison, inspired by classic
geometric patterns; the hand-woven wool Rivington range of bold, graphic
motifs reminiscent of '60s Pop Art; and finally, the hand-knotted jute
Tangier, which offers a down-to-earth texture and dimensionality.
"We
officially launched DwellStudio this past October, and we will be
expanding on that debut with additional designs at High Point Market in
the spring,"Â confirms Surya's
Satya Tiwari. "Our market introduction of DwellStudio rug designs was
very well received. Building upon this positive response, we will be
significantly expanding our DwellStudio offering at High Point Market
and subsequent markets, adding new constructions and color choices to
give designers and retailers even more trend-forward design options. We
look forward to sharing these exciting new designs with spring market
goers and to continuing to grow our partnership with DwellStudio."Â
Adler
Adds On Some Neutrals Too

"Rugs are a category we are growing and we have a very specific
point of view,"Â said Ryan Dziadul of Jonathan Adler at the
company's NY Now booth.

Of the
recent addition of rugs to the Jonathan Adler for Kravet collection,
Nick Lomangino, vice president, floor
covering at Kravet Inc., says, "We created two rug collections with
Jonathan Adler. One is a high-low all-wool line made in Pakistan, with a
cut pile, more like an antique rug in traditional styling, but with lots
of irregularity to give it an
antiqued effect."
"The
other, also hand-knotted, features a higher pile and is made from undyed
natural hemp and bamboo silk with lots of striations in it,"Â he
continues. Lomangino said that the Adler rugs include a total of 12 SKUs
available in standard sizes. They are an expansion of the exclusive
Jonathan Adler for Kravet fabric collection launched in 2012. While the
fabrics embody the New York designer's
signature modernist, bold graphic style, the rugs take a more neutral
transitional approach.

Jonathan Adler for Kravet rugs include an all wool cut pile line
and an undyed natural hemp and bamboo silk collection.

"We had
worked with them [Kravet] on Jonathan Adler for Kravet fabric and felt
that rugs were a natural extension,"Â says spokesperson Ryan Dziadul,
adding that the range is distributed via Kravet showrooms, Jonathan
Adler stores and the Jonathan Adler website. Adler also has a private
label kilim rug program. The offering is signature Adler and ranges from
an oversize anchor with border to a classic tile-pattern design.
"We are
all about kilim and flat weaves, those are authentic to our world,"Â
Dziadul says. "Rugs are a category we are growing and we have a very
specific point of view. Jonathan always says, bold, graphic rugs are a
great place to start when designing a room."Â
