DALTON, GA – Millennium Weavers has unveiled an advancement in design and manufacturing of rugs called TexelWeave, according to Mike Thompson, rug division vice president. The first collection is called eMotion.

The announcement of the new rug making proces was made Thursday afternoon, Jan. 12 at the AmericasMart International market in the LR Resources Showroom, 4-F-11. 

“By combining a variety of yarn types, varying pile heights and weaving and dyeing techniques, TexelWeave brings a new level of patented rug technology  to the rug market by giving a three dimensional visual of the design," said Thompson.

The new eMotion collection will consist of 10 designs from floral to Celtic inspired patterns. It is a Wilton woven construction of 80% nylon and 20%  polypropylene.

"Three different nylon yarns are woven as a background pattern  to enhance the solution dyed polypropylene yarn in the foreground," Thompson explained. "Chromojet dyeing finishes the process, creating  the almost three-dimensional visual."

Made in Saudi Arabia. The suggested retail of the 5’3”x7’6” is $349.

The combination of processes is patented  both in the U.S. and internationally, according to Thompson.

eMotion will be showcased in the LR Resources AmericasMart showroom 4-F-11 during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market Jan. 12 to 15.

The rugs will begin shipping to customers in mid to late February.

“Every so often, something comes along that changes everything and this is one of those times,” added Thompson. “When I first saw these new rugs a few months back, I knew we had something special. In all my years of experience I had never seen anything like this. This combination of processes is patented both in the US and Internationally.”
