LOS ANGELES – Leading designer area rug importer Art Resources is heading to its newly expanded High Point Market showroom, with an extensive array of new area rugs in myriad categories from classic to contemporary.
The company has doubled the size of its Historic Market Square showroom, space 278, second floor, and will celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 10:45a.m. followed by drinks and snacks.
“We’re very excited to present our newest collections in our expanded showroom, and to welcome customers to an exciting new curated shopping experience,” said Max Moussavi, Art Resources spokesperson. “Although the last two markets were not as busy as expected, this time it’s different. A lot of our repeat customers are telling us they’re going to the fall show -- appointments are lining up nicely.”

The company, which dubs itself “the rug industry’s best kept secret,” has developed a strong following with retailers and designers who want to sell area rugs under their own label, but without the headaches of controlling inventory and shipping or developing new color creels and design. “We offer an inventory of over 26,000 rugs in stock and can provide customized websites featuring this inventory under our client’s name," he said of the company's white label rug program.

“Art Resources is the only wholesaler that does not market or sell directly to consumers online, working exclusively through our dealer and designer partners,” Moussavi explained. “By staying behind the scenes and focusing on customers' success, we have secured our place as the rug industry’s best kept secret.”

With facilities in Los Angeles and New Jersey, as well as a dedicated showroom at High Point Market, the company supports designers and dealers with an inventory of more than 26,000 rugs, which it says represents the broadest selection of sizes, styles, ages, and materials in the trade. A robust custom program further extends its offerings, allowing clients to commission one-of-a-kind rugs made to their exact specifications.
Diversity of weaves and designs remains Art Resources’ key differentiator, Moussavi says. He noted that Art Resources' founders, brothers Jack and Eddie Simantob, have continually grown the company's reputation as a style leader since its inception in 1978. "They draw on a deep expertise in rug history and construction," he explained. "Our company continually expands its inventory with traditional, transitional, and modern collections, ensuring that new designs continue to meet the demands of an evolving market."
