-- Kaleen will expand its comprehensive shag assortment at the upcoming Atlanta
International Rug Market with the introduction of a new super chunky line
called Cotton Bloom. Buyers will also find a diverse offering in transitional and
contemporary wool area rugs with two debuting collections and new fashion
colorways added to the popular Regency line.

"We see our shag business continuing to grow, and our
new Cotton Bloom collection
capitalizes on that. At a retail of $399 for a 5x7'6, it fits perfectly between
the low end synthetics and high end wool shags. It's super chunky and super
soft," said Blake Dennard, senior vice president, Kaleen, told RugNews.com.
Cotton Bloom by Kaleen is a polyester shag boasting extreme softness underfoot and fashion-right chunky texture.
Made of 100 percent polyester in India and available in four
neutral colors, Cotton Bloom will also be offered in custom size rugs and in 13'2
wide broadloom. Well on its way to doubling its broadloom line for the second
straight year, Kaleen continues to promote the synergies between its broadloom
and custom rug programs, which provide dealers with competitive advantages in
the marketplace.
Across the board, Kaleen is expecting shags and
multi-textures in simple tonal colors to top buyers' shopping lists at summer
markets. "Consumers want higher quality, high design looks. They're tired
of the same old looks and are looking for something different. We are capturing
that with multi textural products," Dennard explained.
Art Inspired
Collections
In homage to the craft of mosaic tile artistry throughout
Europe and the Middle East, Kaleen's newly created Rosaic collection features contemporary and transitional
interpretations in 100 percent wool. The
line will be introduced in Atlanta with 26 unique styles and color variations
in patterns that range from replicas of tile motifs to updates of finely
crafted wall mosaics. Retail is $549 in
5x7'9.

Further punching up its transitional wool offerings is
Kaleen's debuting Pastiche
collection, a contemporary art-inspired range. Crafted in India of pure wool,
Pastiche rugs will be shown in 15 style and color variations at summer markets.
Patterns include water color effects and abstract designs in on point fashion
colors. Retail is $299 in 5x7'9.

Regency's New
Trending Solids
Kaleen's bestselling Regency
collection of minimalist bordered rugs will be updated with six new directional
colors this summer, including, linen, spa grey, lime green, salmon and
grape. Handmade in India of 100 percent
wool, the line uses Gabbeh yarns for added texture and depth of color. Retail
is $329 in 5x7.9
