The editors of RugNews.com present a bird's eye view of fashion's hot
new Audubon Society. In Trendcast 03, we follow a fashion migration from
the catwalk to high design rugs and textiles by artists and couturiers.
From this summer's Atlanta Rug market, to last week's Maison & Objet in
Paris, to fashion shows in NY and Europe, bird motifs are back in the
news.
Most
often seen are hummingbird prints and larger-than-life over scale birds
on fabrics and rugs. As presented in our exclusive slide show below,
the look is all-inclusive, from harrowing Hitchcock - inspired birds to

flower rug from Netherlands-based Ebru was a showstopper at the
September 2015 exhibition.

Schumacher's A-Twitter wallpaper, though similar in palette, is
more restrained.
