"We were overwhelmed by the success of the autumn opening night soirée," said Harrison. "It has always been our desire to create not just a showroom, but a showcase -- where designers and clients can truly experience our products and sense the mood."

The luxe furniture brand that evening was also celebrating its inaugural rug collection with Nourison, which was displayed in elegant vignettes throughout the two story, 20,000 square-foot showroom. The new $7 million space, featuring an exterior infinity pool encircling the property, is the first standalone High Point Market property built in more than a decade.
The new Christopher Guy High Point champagne soiree included plenty of entertainment, such as ballerinas and acrobats.
And if the festivities weren't enough to keep the team busy, CG also hosted a panel discussion for global hospitality design at Sunday Oct. 15, where Harrison discussed his career and successes. During High Point Fall Market, Harrison also took part in other events with other VIPs and celebrities, including Kathy Ireland, Jane Seymour and former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell.

The new collection -- handcrafted rugs and featuring natural fibers such as New Zealand wool, silk and mohair -- received rave reviews from members of the audience and Harrison went on to explain his creative process, and thoughts on the rug weaving techniques used in his collection. He said the choice of fibers for each design was dependent on the texture and colors he wanted to achieve.
"To enhance the CG lifestyle collection there was a need for me to design beautiful rugs based on my own personal interpretation of how Coco Chanel's home may have looked if she were with us today," Harrison noted.
