HECTOR BAHAMONDE OF SPHINX
DIES OCT. 24 AFTER HEART ATTACK

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. -- Funeral services will be held here Wednesday, Oct. 27 for industry veteran Hector Juan Bahamonde, Jr., 60, who died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 24 after suffering a heart attack.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road, SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Shannon Moore will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies. Please sign online guest registry at www.stewartfh.com. For further information, call 770-962-3100.
Hector Bahamonde was in the industry for over 30 years and joined Sphinx as a salesperson in 1995.
In the "Golden Days" of the carpet industry in the early 1980's, Johnny Graham, then president of Monticello Carpet Mills, gave Bahamonde his first job in sales. Graham later became president of Sphinx by Oriental Weavers and invited Bahamonde to join the fledgling company.
Hector moved from New York to the Atlanta area in the early 1980s and covered the Georgia, Alabama and Northern Florida sales territories for several companies.
During his career, he represented MER, Imperial Rugs, Mastercraft Imports and Vantage Industries.
Bahamonde resided in Lawrenceville, GA. He is survived by: his widow, Diana Bahamonde, children: Michelle Lisa Laureano and husband, Louie; Hector Juan Bahamonde, III and Aidan Charles Bahamonde; parents Hector Juan and Haydee Bahamonde, Sr.; brothers George (Gladys) Bahamonde, Robert Bahamonde and Charles Bahamonde; sisters Iris Perez (Joe), Sandi Reddish (Jeff) and Miriam Adams, and grandchildren Isabella Laureano and Nicholas Laureano.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Family Trust Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
