NEW YORK -- Harounian Rugs International (HRI) has announced a move into a new, larger showroom space (B-433) in Building B at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.
In making the announcement, Lee Harounian, president, HRI, said the move will be complete in time for the upcoming Las Vegas Market, July 31 - Aug. 4, 2016.
"When we got the opportunity to move our showroom to a space that was slightly larger and had three sides of glass on the same floor as our existing showroom, we did not hesitate to make the move", said Harounian.
Greg Jordt, executive vice president, sales and marketing, HRI, said that the new 'glassed in' showroom will provide tremendous exposure to the company's new transitional looks, which have been growing as a category at HRI and resonating with designers and retailers. "We know we are on trend, based on the success of our 2016 color promotions, 'We've got the Blues' and 'We have more than 50 Shades of Grey'."
"For the past two years, HRI has experienced double-digit increases at both the summer and winter Las Vegas Markets, and by making this move we expect to capitalize on that strong trend by greatly increasing our visibility to market traffic," Jordt said.
Two of HRI's featured Transitional collections for Atlanta and Las Vegas are Avalon and Rosewood. Avalon is hand-knotted in India in a very thick dense pile of fine hand spun New Zealand wool with art silk highlights. Sizes are programmed in 6x9 through 10x14 with the 6x9 retailing at $2,500 in the 6x9. "With their soft colorways of blues and greys, the designs capture the look and feel of the sea washing up on the beach," Jordt said.
Each design in the Rosewood collection, also tightly knotted in New Zealand wool and finely spun viscose, is imbued with a unique dimensional look. Jordt described the free flowing abstract designs as true 'art for the floor'. Rosewood rugs are available in 6x9, 8x10, 9x12, and 10x14, with a $2,300 retail for the 6x9.
