SURYA TO DEBUT EMMA AT HOME LICENSED RUGS, PILLOWS BY DESIGNER

Surya will launch at High Point Market a line of rugs, pillows and throws from lifestyle brand Emma at Home, featuring designs from high end rug designer Emma Gardner, shown here at her studio.

CALHOUN, GA - Surya
will
introduce at High Point Market a new line of rugs for Emma at Home, the
lifestyle brand created by designer Emma Gardner to bring her signature
look to a larger audience. Rugs in the debuting licensed collection
called Kismet are 100% wool and include hand-tufted micro-loop and
loop-and-pile rug constructions. Coordinating pillows and throws are
included in the inaugural collection. Flying Colors, a second
hand-tufted rug collection, is planned for release at a later date.
Designs
to be launched at market include an over-scaled floral motif in a
micro-loop construction; a figurative loop-and-pile design based on
traditional Asian art; a crisp, bold geometric look with a retro feel;
and a hexagonal motif overlaid on a circular pattern in a loop-and-pile
construction for rich dimensionality. Color palettes and motifs convey a
contemporary, forward looking aesthetic designed to appeal to a variety
of lifestyles.

"The inspiration for this first collection for Surya came mostly from
nature and its myriad structures and colors, with a nod toward design
for design's sake," said Emma Gardner, chief designer and principal,
Emma at Home. "We chose Surya because it has fun, design forward
products that have earned a loyal following and enabled the brand to
build a distinguished presence in the marketplace. We are excited to
work with Surya's excellent sourcing, sales and product development
teams to make Emma at Home designs, and a whole new range of products,
accessible to our broadest market yet."

The Kismet collection by Emma at Home features a figurative loop

An
award-winning designer known for her unique color pairings and design
sensibility, Gardner has been creating products for the home since 2002.
Born in Kyoto, Japan and growing up in Connecticut and New York City,
her design influences include nature, fashion, literature, architecture,
art and color itself.
"Emma
Gardner's eye-catching creations are refreshing and bright, easy to work
with and really capture the imagination," said Satya Tiwari, president,
Surya. "With these new collections, we are able to offer our designer
and retailer customers inspired new design options perfect for creating
uplifting, modern living environments for the trend forward consumer."
Surya
also plans to showcase at market a collection of complementary pillows
and throws from the designer.
Market
attendees are invited to view the new collections at High Point Market -
Showplace 4100 - from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Surya will
serve a complimentary hot catered breakfast and lunch each day, along
with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails each evening.
