NEW YORK -- Harounian Rugs International has announced that the HRI corporate offices and showroom were moved to a new and larger facility in New York City in early December. The new location is 104 West 29th Street, New York, NY 10001.
In making the announcement Greg Jordt, executive vice president, HRI, said that the decision was made to remain in Manhattan so that HRI would be able to continue long held relationships with major New York City design firms and key players in the Textile District. He said the larger facility gives HRI the much-needed space to better service the double digit sales growth experienced over the past few years as well as a beautiful new showroom.
Showroom Expansions
Sales growth in recent years has fueled showroom expansions in Las Vegas and Atlanta as well. At the July 2016 Las Vegas Market, HRI debuted a larger showroom in Building B at the World Market Center (B-433) with expansive glass frontage on three sides. A year earlier the company unveiled a new and expanded AmericasMart showroom space (5-C-10) at the July, 2015 Atlanta International Area Rug Market. HRI opened a 3,000-foot showroom on the third floor of the IHFC Building's Green Wing (G-365) during the Oct. 2014 High Point Market.

For over 50 years Harounian Rugs International has been a leading supplier of mid- to high-end programmed fine hand knotted rugs to rug retailers, furniture stores, designers and to-the-trade showrooms across the U.S. and Canada. The company's design portfolio includes transitional, contemporary and traditional collections.
NYC Design Studio
Jordt noted that the new HRI showroom will also be a working studio that defines the company's slogan "Creativity at Work."
"It is through the close ties we have developed over the past 50 years with the major design firms and home furnishing fabric suppliers in the City that we are able to continue to be 'on trend' in color and design in the product development of all of our hand knotted rugs," he explained.
HRI was previously located on the ground floor at 261 Fifth Avenue in New York City. In addition to the NY headquarters and showrooms in the U.S., HRI's staffed offices and factories in, India, China and Nepal integrate design, construction, logistics, and marketing of the company's award winning and comprehensive collections of tailored and programmed carpets and rugs.
