THE RUG SHOW IN L.A. TO FEATURE THREE
DOMOTEX CARPET DESIGN AWARD WINNERS
Celebrating winning Carpet Design Awards at Domotex 2015 are

Silk Rugs and Karen Michelle Evans of Ayka Design.

LOS
ANGELES - The Rug Show in L.A. will feature award-winning rug designs
from Art Resources, Ayka Design and Wool & Silk Rugs, March 29 to 31 at
the L.A. Convention Center. The three exhibitors set to show in
L.A. won Carpet Design Awards at the 2015 Domotex trade fair in
Hannover, Germany.
Los
Angeles-based Art Resources took home the award for Best Traditional
Design for its Classic Revival pattern.
London-based Ayka Design was honored with two awards: Best Studio Artist
Design for My Secret Garden and Best Innovation for its Circles of Life
rug, both by designer K. Michelle Evans.
New
Jersey-based Wool and Silk Rugs took home its third consecutive Carpet
Design Award in the Best Modern Collection for its Steppe Collection.
The four designs explore the Anatolian Steppe landscape in rugs named
for the four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall.
"To date
nearly 30 exhibitors have signed up for The Rug Show in L.A., many of
them also award-winning firms with groundbreaking, couture rug fashions
that will rival any on the global stage," said show director Ramin
Mobayen.
The Rug
Show is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 by a collective of
innovative area rug companies who provide two shows per year, The Rug
Show @ Javits and The Rug Show in L.A., for high end area rug buyers,
designers and architects.
