LAS VEGAS -- With 2.2 million followers on Instagram, TV personality, restaurateur and philanthropist Lisa Vanderpump had market attendees doing double-takes last week as she checked out her soon to open Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesar's Palace, and then shopped Las Vegas Market.
Long known for her philanthropic ventures, she launched The Vanderpump Dog Foundation in 2016 to help end animal abuse on both international and domestic levels, and to help create a better world for dogs globally. The 501c3 dog rescue organization now has a rescue and adoption center and offers products from coffee mugs to workout clothes on its website. 100 percent of all purchases go directly to fund the foundation.
At last week's market, Vanderpump met with Mina Peykar of Nourison to review a selection of dog designs in the company's posh collection of pet pillows, and selected a Westie with a pink cape in woven cotton to be sold on
https://www.vanderpumpdogs.org/shop/. The pillow's hand-sewn, golden-metallic sequins create a fun, glamorous look that dovetails perfectly with Vanderpump's style.
The celeb has also just introduced is another brand, Vanderpump Pets, which sells pet carriers, leashes, clothing and more online, and at retailers such as Wayfair, Bed Bath and Beyond and pet specialty shops.
Gaining notoriety on the hit Bravo TV series, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," Vanderpump's fan base has continued to grow with her spinoff show, "Vanderpump Rules", which centers around her West Hollywood eatery SUR, as well as her Beverly Hills favorite Villa Blanca, and another culinary endeavor PUMP.
In addition to the pet accessories line at VanderpumpPets.com, she has started her own tabletop collection, created a Vanderpump Estate Jewelry Collection, and her signature Vanderpump Vodka, Vanderpump Rosé and LVP Sangria in retail and on premise outlets both domestically and internationally.
