04102009 Chandra Joins Forces with Designer Amy Butler

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Chandra Rugs, Inc. will introduce its first collection by designer Amy Butler during the International Home Furnishings Market, April 25 to 30 in High Point.

The collection,   named Amy Butler for Chandra, will feature 19 rugs in 13 designs, with six of those designs produced in two colorways. The collection will be available in 5x8 and 8x11 sizes. All are hand tufted in India of New Zealand wool. The rugs will retail for $699 to $1,499 and will be available in June.

Ravi Tiwari, vice president of Chandra said the company will target specialty and department stores, furniture stores and rug retailers throughout North America with the new line. “Our work on Amy Butler’s collection fills a void in the rug market by offering affordably priced, fresh, modern and approachable style combined with the extraordinary use of color for which Amy  Butler is well known.”

The agreement between Chandra and Amy Butler Design was arranged by Product Lounge, a New York based licensing and brand-building firm.        

Amy Butler designed the new rug collection to complement her existing range of fabrics and to coordinate with the introduction of the Amy Butler for Welspun organic bed and bath collections, also launching in stores in June.
