ODEGARD CHARITY GALA AND ART AUCTION
TO BENEFIT THE RUGMARK FOUNDATION

MIAMI  - "Young Heroes: The Voices of RugMark Children,€VbCrLf an art auction and charity gala to benefit the Rugmark Foundation will be held April 17 at 7 p.m. at the Odegard showroom in Miami's Design District.

The party, which  will include cocktails and silent art auction, will be hosted by Stephanie Odegard of Odegard Inc, along with Susie Wahab, Iran Issa Kahn, Charlotte Hicks, Missy Kent, and Michelle Rubell will be hosting,

Featured during the event are Jaya Bhandari and Sanita Lama, two former child workers who are now being aided by RugMark.

The silent art auction includes donated works by artists Mike Braun, Melissa Braddock, Diane Carl, Howard Garlock, Mira Lehr, Robert Miller, Benjia Morgenstern, Janet Paparelli, Amy Ruppel, Russell Sharon and The White One. 

Odegard Inc was founded by Stephanie Odegard with a mission to marry the interests of the designer carpet market with the tradition of hand knotted carpet weaving. 

Support to education in Nepal is key to Odegard's commitment to improving opportunities for the Nepalese community. Odegard provides  support through a commitment to the RugMark Foundation.  Educational programs funded by RugMark have helped over 3,000 children through rehabilitation, daycare, literacy, formal schooling and vocational training.  Stephanie Odegard is one of the RugMark Foundation's directors and her products carry  the RugMark label recognizing production without child labor.

The RugMark Foundation is a not-for-profit labeling organization working to end child labor and offer educational opportunities to children in India, Nepal and Pakistan. The "Young Heroes: The Voices of RugMark Children€VbCrLf event is in recognition of two children who have been sponsored by RugMark and are now being formally educated.
