LOLOI'S JUSTINA BLAKENEY AND MAGNOLIA HOME INTRODUCTIONS LURE HIGH POINT BUYERS

Justina Blakeney attracts buyers looking for her signature boho chic aesthetic to Loloi collection launch. Blakeney poses with John, Lucy and Jesse Murse of Rugs as Art in Sarasota, Fla.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- As anticipated, Loloi's launch of new Justina Blakeney and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines rug and pillow collections garnered healthy sales and lots of traffic at the rug maker's High Point showroom for the October, 2016 home furnishings market.

"We were very pleased with the reaction of fans to Justina's refreshing, colorful designs," said Amir Loloi, president and owner. "We enjoyed great success with her original collections, and wanted to bring a fresh approach with these new introductions."
He also noted that Magnolia Home's Fall intros continued to build the brand's momentum with a number of new Joanna Gaines best-sellers, and that several additional market hits were from Loloi branded introductions. "We had great sales across the board in both rugs and pillows," Loloi said.

When Loloi and Blakeney introduced their Folklore and Fable rugs and pillows in January 2015, it was the designer's first venture into licensing in the category. Her lively aesthetic took off and in pre-market coverage of the recent October High Point show, RugNews.com reported on the explosion of Bohemian and tribal looks across all rug price points and channels (read full story).

The three new Justina Blakeney for Loloi rug collections are Kalliope, Gemology and Kahelo. "Kalliope rugs are meant to bring visual harmony to a room, tying together dissonant colors," Blakeney explained. "Our Gemology collection is inspired by the organic, geometric shapes found in gemstones, and our Kahelo collection draws upon tiles I've seen in hotels, restaurants, and temples around the world on my travels."

OTHER MARKET HITS

Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines was also expanded with additional introductions at High Point Market, including seven new rug collections, more than 50 pillows, and three new throw collections." Our initial introduction of Joanne Gaines by Magnolia Home collection was met with such excitement and anticipation. We are already seeing the impact this collection is having with our dealers and consumers nationwide, and we were excited to present an expanded collection to buyers in High Point," Loloi said.

Among the best sellers in Magnolia Home, he points to Jozie Day, a transitional collection.  Other new collections introduced at High Point Market were also well received, including Lily Park, Carter, Sydney, Hanover, Trinity and Mikey.

Jozie Day from Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines garnered best-seller status with dramatic, over-scale motif and generous fringe.

From Loloi's branded collections, Owen, a hand woven wool flatweave was a hit with market shoppers, according to Loloi.  The rug stood out, he said, because of its textural details and high/low dimension.

Always bustling with activity, the Loloi IHFC showroom attracted an international crowd at this fall's High Point Market, as captured by RugNews.com in the photos below.
