NEW YORK
- Liora Manné Design Studio has launched a new custom rug program to the
trade called Lush. "This is my first collection of hand-tufted designer
wool rugs," said Manné, who is known to consumers for distinctive
patterns and colors in Lamontage branded non-woven acrylic
needle-punched rugs.
At her
showroom in Manhattan's D & D Building, interior designers will now be
able to select from new patterns created exclusively for Lush, as well
as a portfolio of patterns in Manné's archives, which includes designs
for Lamontage and Trans-Ocean, a retail rug brand which she also
designs. Commercial, hospitality and residential designers may also
create their own custom rugs to be produced by Manné.
"Our
new Lush rugs will be made by Indian artisans. We spin, blend and twist
our own yarns of 100% New Zealand wool or blended wools with accents of
viscose. Our designs are organic, modern, traditional, painterly,
tribal, fun, bold or soft," Manné explained. Initial collections in the
Lush custom catalog are Meditation, Voyage, Watercolor, Nomad and Tosca.
In addition to rugs, Liora Manné produces wallcoverings, fabrics and
decorative pillows under her label.
