WINS FBA AWARD
NATICK, MA -
Dover Rug and Home were the recipients of the 2014 Community Excellence Award,
given by the Family Business Association (FBA) of Massachusetts, according to
Mahmud Jafri, chief executive officer of Dover Rug and Home. The ceremony
honoring the winners took place at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge on
October 23.
The annual award competition honors a family business with a strong commitment
to philanthropy and passion for supporting worthy causes. Dover Rug and Home was
selected from a competitive pool of applicants.
“We are privileged to be a winner of this prestigious award,†said Jafri. “To
be recognized for our positive impact on our community is truly humbling.â€Â
The FBA acknowledges the challenges and significant hurdles that family
businesses must overcome in order to flourish, as well as the reality that the
Massachusetts economy is supported and backboned by family businesses.
The association provides educational programming, and a forum for these
businesses to collaboratively exchange knowledge and experience, and is
dedicated to the recognition and implementation of best business practices and
ethical standards among these enterprises.
