NOURISON LAUNCHES ONLINE PRODUCT REVIEWS ON WEBSITE


Online products, such as the pictured handmade Silk Shadow collection rug, now will be open to customer reviews on Nourison's website.


SADDLE BROOK, N.J. --  Leading floor covering and home accents manufacturer Nourison has launched a robust online product review system on their website. The system allows customers to rate a product, add a detailed review and even upload their own photos of the product.


"Online product reviews have been around for years, but they are not yet widely used in the floor covering industry," said Giovanni Marra, director of marketing and digital Strategy at Nourison. "For today's consumer, the importance of product reviews is growing and has increasing influence on the buying decision. Marketing studies have also shown that consumers are more likely to trust feedback from other consumers then from the brand itself. At Nourison, we felt that adding product reviews would help us get more exposure for our products while also helping us get closer to our end customer."


The decision to implement product reviews on the company website was not an easy one. Nourison knew that once they allowed reviews on their website, that they would have to take the good with the bad. "We welcome all honest reviews on our site" said Marra. "Getting a bad review gives us the opportunity to contact the customer and hopefully resolve their issue. Fortunately, most of the reviews have been positive."


Nourison is encouraging product reviews through social media and other marketing campaigns. Customers can post their reviews on the Nourison website or through any social channel using the hashtag #Nourison. 


Nourison customers will be able to leave feed back, product ratings and post pictures of the rugs they purchased on Noursion's updated website.
