TIMOTHY CORRIGAN TO RECEIVE 2017 DESIGN ICON AWARD AT LAS VEGAS MARKET

LAS VEGAS -- Timothy Corrigan, award-winning interior designer recognized internationally for his interior designs and licensed product collections will be honored as the 2017 Design Icon during Winter Las Vegas Market, Jan. 22-26, 2017. Corrigan will share his experiences working with an impressive array of high-profile clients, as well as impart his design wisdom and philosophies.

The centerpiece of programming at Las Vegas Winter Market, the Design Icon Award honors an interior designer who has made a significant contribution to the industry throughout their career. Now in its 11th year, the Design Icon Award seeks to both highlight the achievements of important designers and to offer Las Vegas Market attendees an opportunity to learn from living legends.

"Timothy Corrigan has made an indelible imprint on interior design that transcends time," said Bob Maricich, chief executive officer of International Market Centers. "He has the unique ability to bring his distinctive design aesthetic in a way that feels luxurious yet comfortable and practical. He also happens to be a great guy, and we are thrilled to have him as this year's Design Icon honoree."

With offices in Paris and Los Angeles, Corrigan's global design philosophy combines European elegance with California comfort. He has been hailed in Architectural Digest as "Today's Tastemaker" and has been named to most of the design world's best designer lists, including the AD100, Robb Report's Top 40 and the Luxe Gold List.  Clients include royalty, Hollywood celebrities and corporate leaders.

"I am honored to receive the Design Icon Award from Las Vegas Market," Corrigan said. "This recognition is a wonderful validation of my work as an interior and product designer. It is humbling to be included among the impressive list of Design Icons."

Additional accolades include the "Star of Design Award" from the Pacific Design Center and he was the first American designer honored by French Heritage for his restoration of several national landmarks in France.

Corrigan has designed fabrics, trims, furniture and floor covering for Schumacher and Patterson, Flynn & Martin, as well as two tabletop collections for Royal Limoges. His collection of plumbing and door hardware for THG Paris, passementerie for Samuel & Sons, wallpaper for Fromental, and furniture for French furniture maker, Moissonnier, will debut in 2017 and 2018.

His book, An Invitation to Château du Grand-Lucé, is a lavishly illustrated monograph that highlights Corrigan's design philosophy and brings to life the fundamental principles at the heart of his work. Published by Rizzoli, the tome chronicles the restoration that he conducted of his 18th century château French in the Loire Valley.

The 2017 Design Icon presentation will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. in the WorldView Room, 16th floor, Building B. The event will include a presentation by Timothy Corrigan, followed by a Q&A session with Bob Maricich of IMC. Immediately following the Design Icon presentation will be a book signing of Corrigan's latest book, An Invitation to Chateau du Grand-Lucé.

As the newest Design Icon honoree, Corrigan joins previous recipients Thomas Pheasant, Carleton Varney, Barbara Barry, Vladimir Kagan, Juan Montoya, Vicente Wolf, Christopher Guy, Larry Laslo, Roger Thomas, Jamie Drake and Alexa Hampton.
