01042015 Momeni Celebrates 40th Anniversary in 2015

CARLSTADT, NJ - Leading area rug and broadloom supplier Momeni, Inc. will mark its 40^th anniversary beginning officially at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market this week. The company, which was founded by the late Haji Momeni in New York City in 1975, has been a leading source for hand-knotted rugs since its inception, originally focusing exclusively on imports of fine Persian and Oriental carpets for luxury rug showrooms across the country.  

In honor of that tradition, the Momeni family is planning to show an eclectic and rare selection of never-before-seen one-of-a-kind hand-knotted rugs at their AmericasMart showroom 4-B-4, and to introduce 15 new programmed collections.

Haji Momeni, who died in 2014, established a reputation for fastidious quality, design and customer service leadership that remains the cornerstone of the company's success. His legacy and these values continue with his sons, Reza, who serves as president, and Arya and Ali who are corporate vice presidents.

Reza Momeni is credited with taking the family-owned business to the next level by creating programmed collections from around the world with the goal of hitting all price levels without sacrificing quality and style. Notable among these collections are New Wave, Sahara and Windsor, and the juvenile collection, Lil' Mo.

In 2007, Momeni's move to expanded headquarters in Carlstadt, NJ afforded opportunities to branch out into other segments of the home furnishings market.

Momeni has expanded into a manufacturer and importer of machine made, hand tufted, and hand knotted rugs and added a broadloom carpet division, home accents, and a new furniture line (M2) to its merchandise mix.

In addition to its Carlstadt, NJ, headquarters, the company maintains a warehouse and shipping offices in Atlanta, along with showrooms in High Point, Las Vegas and Atlanta.

A company spokesperson said that in honor of the 40th anniversary, special market promotions will be offered to valued partners who have supported Momeni over the last four decades. The promotions will continue at Las Vegas Market and trade shows throughout the year.
