COURISTAN TAKES HOME TWO AMERICA'S
MAGNIFICENT CARPETS AWARDS
Couristan was awarded an America's Magnificent Carpets Award in the outdoor category for its vibrantly colored and richly textured Toluca design in iris from the Xanadu collection.

ATLANTA -- Couristan scores two 2018 America's Magnificent Carpets Awards during the winter edition of the Atlanta International Area Rug Market held last week at AmericasMart.
The Fort Lee, N.J. company, which has become known as a source for innovation in outdoor rugs, earned kudos in that category for its vibrant Ikat design from the richly textured indoor-outdoor Toluca design in iris from the Xanadu collection. In addition, Couristan, which spent 2017 injecting a new contemporary spirit into its area rug collections, won an award in the hand knotted/flatweave category $0-$30 per square foot (retail) for the Karuna design from the new Om collection.

Steven Couri of Couristan was excited that the company was recognized for two awards, and that the judges recognized Couristan's innovation in bringing fashion to indoor-outdoor rugs. "Especially in the outdoor category, this proves that there's no limitation on the sophistication you can get in outdoor rugs," he said. "The time and effort to make these rugs ... we're so glad it paid off."
