JAIPUR LIVING RECORDS SOLID FIRST HALF, EXPECTS STRONG ATLANTA MARKET

ATLANTA -- Jaipur Living records a strong beginning to the year and anticipates that summer markets will have a positive impact on its growth projections for 2019. In fact, the company is introducing dozens of new area rugs in a range of constructions from power-loomed to hand-knotted, and is also adding fresh pillow collections, poufs and throws to entice summer Atlanta market shoppers.
"We're excited about summer and summer market," Teresa Roberts, Jaipur Living director of national sales, told RugNews.com. "Our customers always enjoy getting a look at our new rugs, pillows, poufs and throws -- and what's trending. My expectation is Jaipur Living will have a solid performance at summer market based on the number of appointments we're already booking. In fact, they're trending ahead of appointments booked this time last year.
"Our business is showing solid growth and we continue to surpass last year's business on a monthly basis," she continued. "I don't see this stopping anytime soon."
Jaipur Living beefs up its popular hand-knotted Reign collection with the fresh natural look of the Jadene wool rug with carved pile textured geometric design for depth and dimension.
Highlights of debuting designs at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, running from July 9-15, include: fresh hand-knotted Salinas designs that feature traditional, intricate details in a soft wool construction; the refined Revel collection's power-loomed rugs that are perfect for families with kids and pets; the affordably priced Boheme range of printed rugs that mimic intricate hand-knots; Omni by Nikki Chu, which adds a long lumbar pillow with a companion pouf and floor pillow in Ultra by Nikki Chu; the Morada pillow collection of Peruvian-inspired designs; and the brand new Zion collection of sustainable PET floor pillows.
"We think affordable hand-knots and fresh naturals will be a hit this summer, based on the trends we're seeing with designers," said Carl Henrickson, director of digital marketing and brand. Adds Roberts: "Buyers are looking for anything handmade. A good deal of our volume comes through the interior designer segment, and their rug of choice is hand-knotted."
Among the other top trends buyers and designers are expected to be looking for are chunky knots, updated traditional styles, sustainability, natural materials, and mustard/turmeric yellow colored designs.

HAND KNOTTED
Salinas
The hand-knotted Salinas collection adds a new design called Kella (shown, SLN12), which reworks traditional designs in fresh colors.
