ORIENTAL WEAVERS' 2017 COLLECTIONS PUSH DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY LIMITS

A winter market display at the 2017 launch of the Evolution collection by Oriental Weavers shows the unique styling and coloration of each design.

A major hit for Oriental Weavers, the Evolution collection uses elements of the natural landscape to create 16 highly textural abstract designs inspired by natural processes such as oxidation, patina and the weathered surfaces of rust, bark and stone. OW's yarn system offers the potential to create nearly 200 colors, making each of Evolution's contemporary designs unique within the collection.

Machine woven in the U.S.A. in a blend of nylon and polypropylene, Evolution rugs use a mixture of textured yarns, both shiny and matte, and are available in seven sizes.  Retail for the 5'3" x 7'3" is $449.

Atlas by Oriental Weavers

Oriental Weavers' new Atlas collection is made in the U.S.A. in a mixture of matte and shiny yarns in a nylon and polypropylene blend. The machine-woven line features fashion and neutral colors in two designs, a 'solid-non-solid' texture and a small tile motif. According to Angie Shook, director of marketing for OW, the Atlas collection was designed to stand on its own, but also works as a companion piece to the rug maker's best-selling Andorra collection. What's more, the colors also coordinate with rugs in the new contemporary Evolution collection. Retail for the 5'3" x 7'3" is $399.

The Bohemian style popular with Millennials is a winner at Oriental Weavers.

The Bohemian collection is a modern take on global eclectic influences in a reimagined palette. Fun and bright colors in warm tones of magenta, tangerine and citron with cool shades of amethyst and light turquoise are balanced by earthy shades of charcoal and oyster. Exploring the use of graphic tile patterns, traditional folk motifs and large scale Persian medallions, the Bohemian collection adds a bold pop of color to the room. Machine-woven of polypropylene, the line is available in six sizes, and retails at $299 in 5'3" x 7'x6".

Finley by Oriental Weavers boasts a soft, inviting boucle texture.

Finely by Oriental Weavers is the fashion equivalent of a sweater for your floor. The hand-tufted boucle texture imparts a look of rustic simplicity, adding warm, and a cozy aesthetic. Finley is offered in eight subtle solid/non-solid color groupings, in a palette ranging from warm spice tones to cool industrial shades and fresh citrus hues. Hand crafted in India of space-dyed wool, the collection retails at $399 in 5x8 as well and gold.

The popular Tommy Bahama collection is treated to a new line called Flora, a fun, vibrant group of tropical florals and botanicals inspired by Tommy Bahama furniture fabric coordinates and fashion fabrics. The line's bright colors from aquamarine and lime to vivid coral and fuchsia are tempered by neutral shades of sand and driftwood. Hand-tufted in India using a high-low textural effect with viscose and wool, the Flora collection includes 10 patterns in five sizes.

The Kashan collection showcases timeless design in colors with an edge. Ivories are bright and vibrant, golds are soft and warm, but not as yellow as those of the past -- and more in tune with today's aesthetic. The collection features a palette of alabaster, true red, deep Atlanta blue, and black, with ascends of Wedgwood terracotta, soft gold and sage. The simplified Persian patterns and time-honored classics are simplified for today's more relaxed yet sophisticated interiors. Machine made of polypropylene, the Kashan collection has a soft, luxurious hand and dense pile.

The Masterpiece collection by OW combines the best of classic Persian design with modern ease of care and cleanability.

Masterpiece is an intricately detailed collection of timeless Persian patterns that comes with a 20 year wear warranty. Designed to look like hand-knotted silk rugs in classic traditional colors of navy, garnet red, black, true ivory and sage, the pattern actually shows on the reverse side of the rug - just like hand-knotted carpets. An ultra-dense and luxurious polypropylene pile provides brilliant clarity and an extraordinary hand in this unique machine made collection, the only collection in OW's portfolio that is finished with fringe. Retail is $399.
